Twelve year old Jahrra is now finally starting to get the hand of how her life will proceed With school history lessons with her dragon mentor and self defense lessons with the elves she's trying to sueeze in any little amount of time to be with her friends and just be a child But Jahrra isn't just a child Her destiny is still unknown even to her so she naturally doesn't realize the kind of danger she places herself in when she goes wondering around with her friends or does favors for her newest friend a mystic However the Crimson Kings spies are everyone and they are now on the hunt for the prophesied human Their arrival has sped up Jaax's timeline for young Jahrra and now he's become her guardian and must convince her it's best that she leave the castle ruins to outrun the Crimson King's armyI was sad to read about Jahrra's mentors demise He had become such and important part of helping raise Jahrra to be who she is as she grows into adulthood The book is a bit too lengthy still and could really use a lot of editing There was still many times where places Jahrra's already been was once again described page after page I hope we soon will get to learn the identity of the hooded figure that has been in a way protecting Jahraa in her dreams

Secrets lies and bloodshedThis second book our heroine grows up and once again experiences a tragedy that turns her world upside down I won't miss the immature rebellious lying secretive part of this character that caused many problems She continues to blame Jax for everything because she can't face her role in it Will they be able to get past their dislike and lack of trust and finally forge a bond? How will they survive let alone begin a rebellion of prophecy? The last part of this book contained so much growth and development in the story Looking forward to reading the next book

Very interesting world The concept of only one of her kind Only chance for so many Dragons of knowledge and strength Strife of growing up difficult enough without so many hazards

Even better than the first book in the series The story moves along and it was interesting watching Jahrra grow up I did however laugh a bit at the lake monster not because it wasn't well done but it reminded me of an episode of Little House on the Pairie I look forward to the Third book especially looking forward to seeing how Jahrra and Jaxx will work together

Excellent storytelling It's not often I love the subseuent books in a series as much as the 1st but this really was an exception So well written and full of action drama and intrigueA heavy dose of emotion throughout Thoroughly enjoying my journey with Jahrra and pals

Oh JahrraJenna has done a great job in growing interest in this story After the adventures of this book and the disdain Jahrra has for Jaxx she's slammed them together Unfortunately at the expense of Hroombra Sorry for that but excited about the next book

Shaping up to be an excellent seriesThis series seems to move slowly but only because there is SO MUCH going on I feel complete yet left yearning for with the ending of each book It's been fun watching Jahrra grow up and struggle through every hurt and triumph with her
