    A bit dry and jargony for my taste Also, I m not sure I was persuaded by the book s core message to encourage law schools to emphasize clinics and practice like exercises and legal doctrine less, in order to make students prepared for the world of practice This is not an irrational point of view and may even be a wise one, and the authors make some effort to mention case studies of schools that have made steps in that direction though I wish their discussion had been detailed But the authors don t do enough to address the possible difficulties with such a strategy.They do mention in passing that a clinic oriented law school might cost but they don t really consider the possibility that students might be simply tapped out that current levels of debt and tuition are so unsustainable that anything that makes law school expensive may not be worth pursuing.And assuming that the financial problem somehow goes away, what parts of the law school curriculum do we cut to make room for practice depositions, mock trials, etc And since students are going to get exposed to these things during summer clerkships and part time jobs, why not just let them get their practical experience that way Don t they have the rest of their life to get practical experience Even if we think a...
