Sorry, but I think I feel a rant coming on This is a personal peeve of mine and I certainly don t expect everyone to feel the same way Maybe the mpreg aspect makes it all okay for some It doesn t for me There seems to be a new trend trope where people are classified as alpha, beta, or omega but without the pnr shifting aspect to rationalize these classifications Being an omega male in this book means you are good for nothing but being on your knees Imagine the barefoot and pregnant stere Sorry, but I think I feel a rant coming on This is a personal peeve of mine and I certainly don t expect everyone to feel the same way Maybe the mpreg aspect makes it all okay for some It doesn t for me There seems to be a new trend trope where people are classified as alpha, beta, or omega but without the pnr shifting aspect to rationalize these classifications Being an omega male in this book means you are good for nothing but being on your knees Imagine the barefoot and pregnant stereotype and then triple it Traditionalists believe omega males do not need a higher than middle school education since they will be at home taking care of the children that they had no choice in having.I cannot get past the good ol boy misogyny applied to gay male omegas in this story Gay men have fought for decades against ignorance that perpetuates questions like hey, are you the woman or the man This book applies stereotypical female roles to gay males and I just cannot accept that I will not accept it, and I will not be buying another book by this author

This was a tough call for me and I ultimately didn t finish the book I just hated the character of Wyatt so badly that I had no desire for he and Zach to get together In the face of the overwhelming evidence of Zach s intelligence, drive, and careful consideration of his choices, Wyatt time and again tries to get him to go home and become literally barefoot and pregnant He doesn t just have a problem with omegas in college as the blurb says he actually counsels Zach to mate with an alpha th This was a tough call for me and I ultimately didn t finish the book I just hated the character of Wyatt so badly that I had no desire for he and Zach to get together In the face of the overwhelming evidence of Zach s intelligence, drive, and careful consideration of his choices, Wyatt time and again tries to get him to go home and become literally barefoot and pregnant He doesn t just have a problem with omegas in college as the blurb says he actually counsels Zach to mate with an alpha that Zach repeatedly tells him has stalked, harassed, and even tried to kidnap Zach He also has a problem with Zach s job and thinks that, while Zach is not good enough to mate given Wyatt s social standing , he is good enough to screw For these reasons I also could not like Zach Why would you even have sex with someone who sees you as so little Much less develop feelings for him I also wearied of each man going round and round giving their sides to each other, themselves in internal dialog, and anyone else who would listen the rival alpha, the best friend , saying the same things over and over From Zach s ruminations this also doesn t sound like a world in which alphas care at all, other than to be abusive or neglectful, citing numerous incidences of omegas not being allow to go even to high school, being forced to literally remain in their bedroom all the time, and to having child after child This is not a world I want to read about In the end I just didn t have enough respect for either charcter to care how they worked out their relationship much less added an mpreg piece with a happy ending for Zach, given his views and plans I picked it up and put it down a number of times but chose to discontinue The bonus material is very odd and seemingly ends in the very middle of the story I turned the page and there was just nothing with no mention of how to get the story ending I received a free advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest unbiased review

Okay, so this is my most recent Aiden Bates book I ve read, and I absolutely loved it It s different from the other omegaverse books because it doesn t follow the typical formula the author seems to have set up, and for that, I am grateful As much as I love the other formula, I read so many books by this author in a row that the whole condom failed, whoops storyline was getting old This was a refreshing change I enjoyed seeing Zack and Wyatt butting heads while also growing closer and bec Okay, so this is my most recent Aiden Bates book I ve read, and I absolutely loved it It s different from the other omegaverse books because it doesn t follow the typical formula the author seems to have set up, and for that, I am grateful As much as I love the other formula, I read so many books by this author in a row that the whole condom failed, whoops storyline was getting old This was a refreshing change I enjoyed seeing Zack and Wyatt butting heads while also growing closer and becoming attracted to each other Zack s friend Kit was wonderful, and it was great to see someone stand up for him What really makes me love these stories is how reflective of society it is Sure, we have progressed a lot, but there is a lot of social commentary that makes you think Shocking, right In a book about Alpha omega humans But there it is This one focuses on a young omega who wants to become a lawyer and fight for omega rights in a world where most omegas don t even finish high school There are some seriously backward views, but those same views can be applied to woman in the early twentieth century and, let s face it, if we re being honest, they views are applicable to the way the government seems to be going at the moment with regards to women s rights This was an incredible book, and I m sad it ended so quickly I wanted to see Zack meeting Wyatt s family, and I would love to seeof Zack as he grows older and pursues his dreams

I liked this book I liked the characters as well. I especially liked Kit I was glad there was someone who stood by Zach I wished this book was a full novel. I really would like to have seen Zach and Wyatt together and Zach a successful lawyerto see him juggle career and family Aiden did good with this one

I wasn t really fond of this novel A lot of it centered around stereotypes of omegas I also really didn t care for the main characters, Zach was okay but the professor Wyatt was annoying I found him so unlikeable.

When the student becomes the teacherOnce again, Aiden Bates hooked me by creating an irrepressibly feisty omega determined to forge his own life instead of bowing to the social protocol assigned based on genetics I loved Zack I loved how he stood up for himself with a plan to stand up for people who would need help doing the same I loved that he owned every part of himself, including his sexuality, knowing that it wouldn t be the easiest path but it would be the one that was truest to hims When the student becomes the teacherOnce again, Aiden Bates hooked me by creating an irrepressibly feisty omega determined to forge his own life instead of bowing to the social protocol assigned based on genetics I loved Zack I loved how he stood up for himself with a plan to stand up for people who would need help doing the same I loved that he owned every part of himself, including his sexuality, knowing that it wouldn t be the easiest path but it would be the one that was truest to himself I loved his flaws, and how openly he admitted to making decisions that weren t in his own best interests, even as he was making them I spent most of this book, however, incredibly frustrated with Wyatt and ready to shake the pretentious control freak With antiquated notions about the nature of the relationship between alpha and omega, his quickness to dismiss Zack, despite the intensity of his blossoming feelings, really stressed how much the alpha needed to evolve before I felt he was worthy of an omega like this one I tried to be empathetic to his struggle, repeatedly reminding myself that he only knows what he was taught, but couldn t shake the thought that for a professor, he really is a slow learner I couldn t get enough of Zack and Wyatt, the chemistry between them was so intense that it was irresistible to me.Please note that I received a complimentary advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review

This was a great story with a great underlying message Zach and Wyatt are both intense characters Wyatt is old school and believes everything he has been taught to believe about Omegas Zach is an Omega out to change the world He has defied tradition to pave the way for others and give them a voice He knows he is meant forthen being a bedroom toy, he is smart, resourceful and has a goal he is not willing to give up When the two clash it sets the stage for some interesting arguments an This was a great story with a great underlying message Zach and Wyatt are both intense characters Wyatt is old school and believes everything he has been taught to believe about Omegas Zach is an Omega out to change the world He has defied tradition to pave the way for others and give them a voice He knows he is meant forthen being a bedroom toy, he is smart, resourceful and has a goal he is not willing to give up When the two clash it sets the stage for some interesting arguments and some ugly bigotry raises it head Each character grew during the story, they both learned to compromise and Wyatt had his eyes opened to things he never noticed before I enjoyed this story immensely and fell in love with Zach and his best friend Kit right from page one This was a fast well written read that was fun and entertaining I was given an ARC for an honest review
