I read Silken Images then followed immediately with Fractured Symphony, it s continuation and this is the only way to read them, in my opinion Always a two part concept through Til the End of Time, Fractured Symphony continues the story of Lara and Adam, started in Silken Images It is actually a mammoth read as Fractured Symphony is LONG It is however engrossing and doesn t seem mammoth while you are reading.I d have screamed if I d had to wait to discover what happened to Lara and I read Silken Images then followed immediately with Fractured Symphony, it s continuation and this is the only way to read them, in my opinion Always a two part concept through Til the End of Time, Fractured Symphony continues the story of Lara and Adam, started in Silken Images It is actually a mammoth read as Fractured Symphony is LONG It is however engrossing and doesn t seem mammoth while you are reading.I d have screamed if I d had to wait to discover what happened to Lara and Adam if I hadn t been able to continue immediately after finishing Silken Images.Jennifer Larmar is a master with descriptive passages and her telling of the glorious countryside visited as well as the scenes from well known stage presentations is as good as I ve read You actually feel the characters, the stage presentations and the places visited as they come to life There were times I wanted to strangle characters because they were being ridiculous a case of oh for goodness sake, get on with it but unless you actually feel as much for the characters you d not feel this way about a book and they were actually behaving as they would in real life.I loved the explanation of how the book took flight from Jennifer s experience with the stage play, Dr Zhivago and the subtle way this was woven into the two part series Lovers of stage productions, theatre and travel will identify with this book and the sequel and enjoy every part Silken Images is definitely not a read alone book, neither is Fractured Symphony because they are part of the whole but both are well worth reading The author being Australian is the icing on the cake
